Memorial Weekend

The kids all know that if there is a "vacation" day, it really means "project" day at our house. Sometimes they complain, but most of the time the just accept the work load. This past weekend, we decided to build some more shelves in the garage. We sold our camp trailer, and this created a problem with where to store all of the things that used to be in the camp trailer.  This is a "before" picture of the messy garage.
We headed off to the store for shelving supplies. Kate LOVES to go to Lowes.... until she is actually at Lowes and then she complains the entire time about how long its taking.
When Keith does a project, its all hands on deck. Everyone helps!
Kate usually does the singing to keep us entertained.

Being keeper of the tape measure and the pencil is a very serious responsibility.
 What can't this girl do?
It took us part of Saturday and all of Monday to finish the project. We were very concerned about how we were going to lift the 600lb shelf over our heads. There was much discussion between the engineers of the family. There was much worry and concern for ER trips from the older females in the family.
"After" pictures.  Humm.  Is it better?  No matter. Im not tripping over bins now and I like that.
Thanks everyone for working so hard this past weekend!  I think we all like the garage better!
