Swinging through the week

We finally had some fall like weather and the best way to celebrate is pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Kate was more than willing to help make the first batch of fall cookies!
Keith made this swing set about 15 years ago.  It was built to withstand the apocalypse. He did not anticipate the use it would get.... especially from Sariah. She spends MANY HOURS on the swing each week. It really is her happy place.  She has however broken several chains wearing them out. This has resulted in two trips to the insta-care.  Before we had the need for a trip to the ER, Keith decided to really fix these swings.
Sariah seemed the perfect helper for this project. She does not like her picture taken. This is her protesting me taking her picture.  She isn't good about picture taking, but she is a good helper fixing her swing.
Hayden was also very happy to help.  He is in support of any power tools.
Keith likes to weld.  And when welding saves lives, its even better.
They welded new supports onto the swings. They are pretty impressive.  Feel free to come try them out!
The chain is now sliding on bearings.
Sariah is once again in her happy place flying high!
Saturday Hayden had wrestling again.  He did much better this week. He didn't officially win, but he did manage to hold the guy off long enough for time to run out.  Its a strategy that seems to be working.
During warm ups, Kate was showing off practicing tick tocks. She had time, space and mats so why not?!
She also found the rope swing in the room. I think it is for climbing and strength training. I liked the fact that it kept a 7 year old happy during wrestling matches.
Corrine worked on many school assignments all weekend.  One was to put together a survey about a business and post pictures of a product. Well... if she is going to do that, she might as well do the work for her own business!  The dog really wanted to be right where Corrine was.
Behind the scenes of the photo shoot. Sariah is a good wall holder.
Keith and I went to Desert Star with some of our very good friends, the Nyes.  I was very happy the cast sang Monster Mash.  I have no idea why, but it is one of my favorite Halloween songs.
Game playing. Keith is so good to play games with the kids while I nap.  What a blessing for the kids... and me! Kate LOVES to play computer games with dad.  You ought to hear her talk all the way through the game.  She is so funny.
We survived another crazy week, so things are going along like normal! School is moving along, a little painfully, but moving all the same. I have more blood work and the cooler weather is on its way!
