Christmas Letter 2018

This year our mantra has basically been "keeping it real."  Im still on an "Is this essential?" kick.  Some things went really well and some things not so much.  I will attempt to summarize how successful (or not) we were throughout the year. 

Kate is 6 and in the first grade. She is working hard in gymnastics, piano and school.  She is so much fun to have around!

Kate also learned how to ride a two wheeler bike with no training wheels.  Uh, good job. Nailed it. 

She is into selfies. Nailed it, right?

 

Hayden is 11 and in the 6th grade. He is working hard in school and piano. Hayden's big event this year is getting braces. 

He is also training to be come a ninja warrior.  Major sprain in the ankle, yep. Nailed it. 

Sariah will be 15 the day after Christmas. She is in the 9th grade. She is into writing books, a teen attitude and thanks to Reynauds, staying warm (in July) Nailed it.

Sariah is getting pretty good with her little 22.  Watch out!

She is also working on stop motion and building a "movie set."  Nailed it...eventually. 

Corrine will be 18 in January. She is working on college classes and launching her business.  Her work is AMAZING. 

She is also playing with the idea of becoming a butcher if her business fails. Out of necessity, she nailed the butcher thing.

Corrine and Sariah both got their wisdom teeth out. They tried to avoid the swelling. Nailed it. (I was forbidden to take any pictures. But, you can read all about it in a blog post from May)

Jakob is 20 and taking engineering classes at the University of Utah.   He spends all of his time happily doing homework.

In his free time he is trying to expand his evil empire. Nailed it.  

Keith has been the robotics team coach for 5 years now. Soon he will be starting his 6th year! There are many ups and downs during the robot season. We are robot 3230.

 At the worlds competition we totally nailed it in the "re build your robot 75,000 times in one week" category. 

Keith has been practicing for shooting competitions. 

 I am trying to keep the family in food and clean clothes. During the robot season I prided my self in being a washing machine repair-woman. Nailed it.

One of my goals was to really increase the amount of walking I've been doing this year. I have really enjoyed this.

May you enjoy this holiday season as much as we enjoy the Christmas lights on our house. (Which we nailed.)
