Birthday Boy

Hayden is 11!  Im not sure where the time went. It will take me a while to get used to this idea. We had Julie and Andrew here visiting and they were able to spend some time with Hayden on his birthday before they flew out. Julie gave him Oreos and they are his favorite!

 Corrine gave Hayden a multi tool pocket knife. I guess its something every 11 year old boy needs.

Hayden got a new bike for his birthday. Keith put it in the garage next to the other bikes and told Hayden to find his present. Hayden wandered past his new bike and even touched it a few times before he realized it was his.  Is that a sign my garage is way too messy that it went unnoticed? Hayden said he thought it was Sariahs new bike because she got one very similar to it a month ago. Well played dad, well played.

The excitement of the new bike was short lived. (did you notice the chicken boots?)  He might have driven it a little crazy and crashed it on the test drive. He wasn't very happy I wanted to document it.

Once again, Corrine spent many hours on the birthday cake.

Hayden requested an Oreo cake.  This tasted just like oreos!  The "stuff" in the middle was real oreo stuff!  It was so rich!

Happy Birthday Hayden! There is a boys bike riding trip planned in a few days with Hayden, a couple of his friends and the dads.  11 seems to be a pretty good age so far!
