Out with old and somthing something

Kate is mobile. One of her favorite places to play was in the stereo wires. Really, I can't blame her.  Here is a picture of the "entertainment center" we had for years.  Yes, its a coffee table.

We decided maybe it was time to buy a real entertainment center. I had very specific requirements. It couldn't be a coffee table. It had to be black. Kate couldn't get to the stereo... as quickly.  Here are my loyal minions assembling the new one.

Yes, they are taking a saw to the back of it. Apparently, some of our equipment was to big so they were making "adjustments" to the brand new furniture. Here is the finished product! Very nice.

For the record, it is cold. January is not my favorite month. This time around, it seems even more January-ish. It is very cold.  It has been this cold (and colder) for many days. We are talking weeks. It really is getting old. That was the temp outside at 11pm. It has been as low as -7.

Time to cuddle up with a blanket and watch a movie on the tv without Kate pulling wires.
