Memorial Day

We broke Keith down and talked him into doing something fun for Memorial Day. We took the kids to Promontory Point and watched the golden spike re-enactment. It was a lot of fun to see. About 10 minutes after the (outdoor) re-enactment it started to storm. There were giant hail stones. It was kind of funny watching all these people making a mad dash to the visitors center. If you have never been out there, we encourage you to go. You may want to check the weather first, though.

This is a picture of the cast and some of the people that were there to watch. The cast did a great job.

Corrine has wanted to go to the city of Corinne and play at their park. Since we had to drive right through the middle of down town Corinne on the way to Promontory, we just HAD to stop and check out the park. Anyway... Corrine in Corinne.

This can not end well.

Kids at Corinne City Park. I personally loved the thriving metropolis of Corinne. I could move there today. Keith wanted a Home Depot and Checker Auto a little closer. This little town reminded me a lot of Oak City.... let me pause a moment and remember the good ole days of visiting grandma and grandpa.
