Shootin' up the Major Award

Keith participated in the Salt Lake County Cooperate Games on the company shooting team.  Last year they did not participate in the rifle shoot so he wasn't sure what to expect. Keith did a little practicing and realized he needed a new gun with a better scope. After buying that, he realized something was wrong with the scope. Last second, he borrowed a scope from a friend and didn't get time to practice with it. No matter. Keith got 2nd place! He got the silver medal!

A couple of days later Keith shot on the 2 man team in the pistol shoot. Last year his team won bronze and they were pretty happy with it because they were going up against Olympic quality guns and shooters.  Keith shot the best he could.

Keith ended up in a tie breaker with the team that won first place last year. UGH!  To break the tie, the judges counted the number of shots closest to the X in the middle of the target.

What?!  Keith won the gold!!!  THE GOLD!  First place. Did he win anything else?  Well, a t-shirt. And bragging rights for a year, so thats something.  Good job Keith!
