Home Inspection

As most of you know, we are in the process of doing foster care. We did the paperwork and all of the classes in March. Then, we waited until April for our background checks to come back. Then, we waited for our home inspection to be scheduled. We had it scheduled for last Monday and the licensor got sick and had to come out today instead. She got here a little before 2pm and left at 4pm. WE PASSED!! The state thinks that we are ok to have children. Whew.... now that Jakob is 10 and we have 3 kids, I can't tell you what a comfort it is to know that we can be parents. The inspection itself went really well. She said everything looked good and said I was "very organized". We spent most of the time at the table answering questions. They were something like tell me all about your crazy families and weirdo neighbors. Stuff like that. She said that it takes her about 2 weeks to get the paperwork typed up and copies to everyone that wants one. Then, we wait for a call. She did say that because I am a stay at home home, that will move us up on the list. She also said that there are more infant boys. People don't want boys. I think its sad. So, hopefully by mid to late July we will have a baby here. Anyway, this is a very good day to have done and to know that we don't have to change anything.... we passed with flying colors.
